A (Very) Brief Bio

Born and raised in the South, I've been living and working in New York City for the last 19 years. I found my "voice" creating and producing women's clothing while working for a small company where I was able to wear as many hats as possible (including office gardener). Working directly with the owner and creative director, I learned the ins and outs of the industry: product development, design, print design, technical design, fitting, grading, as well as domestic and overseas production.

My expertise is designing women's contemporary and RTW clothing with experience across all categories - hard and soft wovens, knits, and full-fashion sweaters. I've always been the most focused on building & maintaining industry relationships, assisting & mentoring team members, discovering & developing new materials (fabrics, embellishments, trims), and applying these materials into wearable, sellable, beautiful garments.

When I'm not thinking about clothes, you can find me cooking Thanksgiving dinner, enjoying the beach with plenty of SPF 70, being a personal Zagat guide for my friends and watching hockey.
